Look for shoes with ergonomic, removable & washable insoles, offering good cushioning and arch support to prevent fatigue. Security The first criterion to consider is the protection offered by the footwear. According to current safety standards (NF EN ISO 20345: 200 Joules safety footwear: EN 20346: 100 Joules protection), footwear can offer protection against impact, perforation and slipping. Some of our models meet additional requirements: hydrocarbon-resistant soles (FO): insulating (I), conductive (C) or antistatic (A) footwear: malleolar (AN) or metatarsal (M) protection: insulation against cold (CI) or heat (HI or HRO): upper resistant to absorption (E) and to water penetration (WR or WRU) or cutting (CR), etc. Enhanced protection Footwear must be fitted with protective toecaps (steel or composite) to protect the feet against impact or crushing. Steel or composite toe caps (SB or PB) protect the toes and are a fundamental requirement. Anti-puncture soles (P) also add an extra level of safety. Grip and safety Shoes should have non-slip soles (SRA or SRB) to prevent slipping, even on wet or oily surfaces. Rubber or PU soles are o en ideal for ensuring optimum grip. Durability and resistance Footwear must be designed to withstand tough working conditions.
